OOD announces 2024 webinar series
to promote disability inclusion in the workplace
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) announced the second half of its 2024 webinar series to aid employers in supporting disability inclusion in the workplace.
The webinars, which align with Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s Executive Order 2019-03D, aim to establish Ohio as a Disability Inclusion State and a Model Employer of Individuals with Disabilities. They are designed to offer practical steps and strategies to create supportive and welcoming environments for employees with disabilities.
The upcoming webinars, scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. via Microsoft Teams (virtual format), include:
• July 18: Strategies for a Recovery Friendly Workplace
• August 22: Boosting Engagement in Employee Resource Groups
• September 18: Effective Partnerships with Job Coaches
• October 16: Building an Inclusive Apprenticeship Program
• November 21: Leading Effective Self Identification Campaigns

- Laketran Travel Training Program provides one-on-one instruction for any individual who would like to learn more about riding Laketran. Laketran’s outreach staff can schedule a time to meet with you in the comfort of your own home or you can schedule an appointment at Laketran. - LCBDD Family Forums LCBDD hosts quarterly meetings on a variety of topics some of which are related to employment and benefits.
